Managing Tasks

Managing Tasks

Tasks can be managed from two main areas. If you’re looking to review only tasks assigned to yourself, navigate to the my assignments tab on the home page. All of your tasks and inspections will be listed for you here. You can view these as a table or as cards by toggling the view options on the upper right. From my assignments you can review, edit, and change the status of your tasks.

If you’re looking to review tasks for multiple people, navigate to the tasks page. Here, you can review the scheduled tasks or completed tasks tabs, depending on your goal. Both tables allow you to view, edit, and change the status of tasks.

If you need to change details about a task, you can open and edit by clicking on it. Here, you can change anything you need about the task including rescheduling and reassigning. You can also add notes and media files to help document work in progress or completed.

If you’re editing a one-time task, you can convert it to a recurring task series by clicking ‘Convert to Series’ and selecting the recurrence interval you’d like. If the task you are editing is already part of a recurring task series, you can edit the series details by clicking ‘Edit Series’.

Tracking and Completing Tasks

The status of a task is the way you can track progress. Status provided are: scheduled, in progress, completed, and canceled. All user roles except reviewer have the ability to change the status of any task they can view. Status can be changed in any order deemed necessary. For example, a status can be moved from scheduled directly to completed or from completed back to in progress if it’s determined the goal was not actually met. A canceled task can also be re-opened if needed.  You can change the status of a task from card views, list views, or the task view.
