Tasks & Corrective Actions

The Tasks & Corrective Actions dashboard is targeted for your Regional and Site leaders and provides key performance indicators (KPI) and visualizations that provide leading and trailing indicators of performance of task completion.

The data display defaults to a rolling 12-month period, but can be customized to a user specified range.  The data can also be filtered by Facility, Region, and/or Business UnitFilters are also available by Priority and Item Type:
  1. Priority: the value utilized within the Dakota Tracer record’s Priority field.
  2. Source Name: defined by the Source of the Dakota Tracer task, including:
    1. Profile: a compliance task generated from Dakota Profiler
    2. Audit: a corrective action item generated from Dakota Auditor
    3. Injury/Illness: a corrective action item generated from a Dakota Scout Injury or Illness
    4. Manual/Import: an action item entered or imported directly into Dakota Tracer
    5. Other: action items generated from all other sources 

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

The primary metrics of this dashboard highlight the quantity of work completed within the specified period.  Filtering by priority and type will offer better details into quality and amount of critical work needing to be done:
  1. Total # Closed: number of Tracer records with a Status of Complete.
  2. % Completed On Time: the percentage of items completed on or before their Date Due.
  3. % Completed Past Due: the percentage of items completed after their Date Due.


Item by Priority

The Items by Priority section provides users with a perspective on the efficiency of the Organization to complete tasks and corrective actions, according to their Priority. The metrics provided are:
  1. Closed – On Time: number of Tracer records with a Status of Complete on or before their Date Due.
  2. Closed – Past Due: number of Tracer records with a Status of Complete after their Date Due.
  3. Open – Pending: number of Tracer records without a Status of Complete on or before their Date Due and/or where the Date Due was not entered.
  4. Open – Overdue: number of Tracer records without a Status of Complete after their Date Due or the Date Due has not been entered.  

Action Item Performance by Facility

The Action Item Performance by Facility section provides users with a perspective on the efficiency of each Facility to complete tasks and corrective actions in a timely manner. The metrics provided are:
  1. Closed – On Time: number of Tracer records with a Status of Complete on or before their Date Due. 
  2. Closed – Past Due: number of Tracer records with a Status of Complete after their Date Due.
  3. Open – Pending: number of Tracer records without a Status of Complete on or before their Date Due and/or where the Date Due was not entered.
  4. Open – Overdue: number of Tracer records without a Status of Complete after their Date Due.  

Action Item Performance by Facility - Scorecard

The Action Item Scorecard is a detailed version of Action Item Performance.  The data in this section is delivered in chart form and is intended to aid in deeper analysis of action items. The chart can be exported or evaluated to generate more questions, while the global filters for results by priority and item type. The metrics provided are:
  1. Completed Items: total number of Tracer records with a Status of Complete
  2. Total % On Time: total percentage of Tracer records with a Status of Complete on or before their Date Due.
  3. % Past Due < 30: percentage of Tracer records with a Status of Complete between 1-29 days after their Date Due.
  4. % Past Due < 60: percentage of Tracer records with a Status of Complete between 30-59 days after their Date Due
  5. % Past Due < 90: percentage of Tracer records with a Status of Complete between 60-89 days after their Date Due
  6. % Past Due: total percentage of Tracer records with a Status of Complete between 1-29 days after their Date Due
  7. Open Overdue: number of Tracer records without a Status of Complete after their Date Due.
