Managing Groups and Item Types
You can manage your Groups and Item Types by navigating to the
Manage Content page.
Item Types are the things that you are inspecting and/or asking questions about. Item Types are combined together into
Groups for ease of use. For Example, item types such as fire extinguishers and fire sprinklers would be under the Group Fire Prevention.
Dakota provides each organization with a list of curated Groups and Items Types. You can use the Dakota groups, add to them, and also create your own organizational specific groups and item types. Item types can be added to a specific group, or be left uncategorized. We suggest that you add each item to a specific group to enhance the usefulness of reporting based on items being inspected
Once you have reviewed the Groups and Items, and added anything you need, you are ready to review your
inspection questions.
